I have used two different set-ups for recording episodes of Clouded. I'm going to list both of them here so you can can decide for yourself what makes the most sense.
The biggest difference being I used the Zoom H2n microphone for every episode except episode 2 of season 2. In that particular episode I used the Knox Cardioid USB/XLR Microphone. Both microphones make great options for any podcast.

Zoom H2n
The multipurpose microphone I love this mic. The sound quality is simply impeccable. Plus the portability has really won me over, It records directly to an SD card and sounds great in any environment. |

Zoom H2n Accessory Pack
I have used every single item in the accessory pack. Well worth the price of admission! |

Knox Cardioid USB/XLR Microphone
I was blown away from the sound of this microphone. It sounds way better than the price it costs to buy. Plus it has both an XLR & and USB output. The Pefect Mic for any podcast. |

Monoprice Isolation Shield
Great companion to the Zoom H2n microphone. Really does help to deaden sound in a room. |
|
Dragonpad Pop Filter
Simple must have for every microphone. Helps get rid of "pops" and the hard "s" sound. |
|
Soundproofing Foam Acoustic Tiles
Great and easy way to stop sound from bouncing off the walls in the room. Must buy to help soundproof your studio. |
